Paintings by Clive Wilson
Clive Wilson has no formal training in painting or drawing. In 1998, he was fortunate to meet artist Chris Dunbabin (1947-2007) who's work is on permanent display in the National Portrait Gallery and other significant galleries. It was Chris Dunbabin's guidance and encouragement, that taught Clive to observe and draw. With this basic grounding, Clive went on to teach himself to paint, first using acrylics and latterly oils.
Clive Wilson mainly explores the human form whether it be portraits or figurative. Recently he has been working on a series of paintings loosely based on self-portraits exploring the interactions within himself.
