Paintings by Clive Wilson
Clive Wilson has no formal training in painting or drawing. Everything he has learnt was taught to him by artist Chris Dunbabin who's work is on permanent display in the National Portrait Gallery and other significant galleries.
Not having picked up a pencil or paintbrush since leaving school in 1967, 30 years later, Clive Wilson signed-on to a life-drawing class tutored by Chris Dunbabin. Chris's patience and encouragement spurred him on to try sculpting and latterly, painting, which has dramatically altered the focus of his life.
Clive Wilson likes to explore the human form whether it be portraits or figurative. Recently he has been experimenting with colourful abstracts.
